What is HHD?

Health Is a
Human Right

The AHSS Health & Hygiene Drive collects basic medical supplies, hygiene products, and health education materials from Maryland communities and ships them directly to clinics and schools in Nigeria.

We often focus on education — and rightly so. But a child who is sick cannot learn. A mother without access to basic hygiene cannot protect her family. Health and education are inseparable. The HHD addresses both.

Health access is one of the most heavily funded causes in global philanthropy — from the Gates Foundation to USAID to the WHO. This initiative positions AHSS to tap into those pipelines and attract the kind of partnerships that fund real, sustained impact.

We partner with hospitals, pharmacies, pre-med student organizations, and health-focused nonprofits to source supplies — and with KTG Shipping International to get them where they need to go.
