The Pan-African Leadership Summit (PALS) is AHSS's annual student-led conference — bringing together African and African-diaspora students from high schools across Montgomery County and the greater DC metro area.
PALS is built on a simple belief: when African students get in the same room, something powerful happens. We amplify each other, challenge each other, and leave more committed to excellence than when we arrived.
Through keynote speakers, leadership workshops, cultural showcases, and open dialogue, PALS gives students the tools, network, and inspiration to lead — on campus, in their communities, and eventually across the African continent.
For AHSS, PALS is also our biggest recruitment and sponsorship moment of the year. Every school that attends is a potential AHSS chapter. Every sponsor in the room sees our members in action.
